Mailbox for iOS - well I registered a couple of days in to launch and was 83673 in the list. So according to the app, only 173 have been fulfilled so far? Well that can’t be right, but you assume tech blogs and investors go to the front of the line.

Out of interest I’ve been watching the “people in front of you” ticker move as new accounts are activated, sadly at a rate of about 1 every couple of minutes (ouch), and yet in the 4 minutes since I took this screen shot, the number of people joining the queue increased by more than 3000 new registrations.

I’m interested in Mailbox (despite the fact it’ll only support Gmail at launch) mainly because I hate (the prehistoric world of) email and I hate email even more on the iPhone. I’m not a fan of granting access to my stuff though, so giving up (presumably) email login credentials to a tech startup leaves you slightly nervous. That said, these guys look more organised than most, and they’ve got solid investor funding (CrunchFund) behind them now.
